“Tracking reveals your trends, trends reveal your truth, your truth will set you free”.
Yall. Whatever it is you are working toward, track it. You’ve heard me say it a thousand times, and I’ll continue to preach it.
Because it works.
And it matters.
Movement, food as fuel, hydration, alcohol consumption, time spent in nature, time working on your goals, time with family, finances.
It doesn’t matter WHAT is it.
What matters is that you are tracking your progress.
Moving the needle.
You don’t know what you don’t know.
And you don’t know where you are at if you aren’t tracking.
So many are confused and “trying everything” but if there was really a detailed report of that “everything”, what would it show? With love.
Progress requires work. And it requires you staring hard truths in the face.
And, when do you track- you will look back and be so freaking proud of yourself. Of your progress. Of how strong, mentally and physically, you are.
In one of my busiest seasons- running a very busy business 40-50 hours a week, building out Be Well website and teaching 2-3 times a week, starting up book club again, family visiting from out of town, trying my best to show up well in friendships/relationships, oh- and picking up our last 14 years, 2 hound dogs and packing, renovating and moving (cue major anxiety + overwhelm).
Despite of all that, my extremely full plate, I made time for me. For my wellness. For my short and long term health. For my mental health.
You can too.
Tracking is an extremely powerful accountability tool. It reminds you of your why, of what’s important, on the daily.
Commit to tracking whatever it is that you are working on in August. I promise you – you will not only see more progress, but you will be so freaking proud of yourself when you have a tangible representation of your hard work.
Massive love and be well
